The IndieDent Protocol:
A Predictable Digital Journey.

Built on experience, research, communication and clinical feedback.

From initial scans to final seat. My standardized, facially driven workflow ensures seamless communication, perfect adaptation, and ultimate clinical confidence at every phase of the treatment.

The 5-Step Clinical Workflow

  • Complete a full diagnostic assessment of the patient’s existing dental condition (CBCT, bone volume, bone density). Take necessary pre-op digital records: intra oral scans, existing denture scan, patient photos, facial 3D scan (if possible) Note: Necessary records are different for edentulous and dentate or partially dentate patients. Contact for detailed instructions. Compiling precise and sufficient patient dental records digitally is just as important as analog record taking. Don’t rush through it! This is the first and arguably, the most important step of the treatment process. You, the clinician and your team are literally laying the foundation for a successful restoration for a foreseeable outcome, with minimal chairtime and maximal patient satisfaction.

  • Visualizing the outcome before surgery begins! Based on the diagnostic records (facial 3D scan or patient photos) IndieDent will create a facially driven aesthetic proposal. The doctor can present it to the patient for approval. We can also provide a 3D printed model of the same design proposal for better patient engagement, and the same printed model can be used later during surgery as a guide by the oral surgeon (trough guide). As a valuable time saving option to clinicians, IndieDent offers case planning. Implant selection, placement and surgical guides.

  • Guided, partially guided, Non-guided methods can be used to place the implants.

  • Immediate Loading:

Record exact implant locations, how they relate to each other in the 3D space.

Grammetry (ioConnect, Optisplint) and Photogrammetry methods are supported

Record Post-surgery soft tissue (IO scan with IO scan markers placed on the implants)

Upon completion of the surgery, post-surgery data needs to be collected and transferred to the lab to complete the design for print or mill, finishing and delivery of the provisional prostheses.

Remember: we already have an approved design at this point. What the lab needs now is the implant locations relative to the arch to form the internal structure (MUA receptacles, screw channels) and the soft tissue topography to create a well fitting, cleansable intaglio surface.

If the practice has the capability to print the provisional (temporary), I will send you the completed full arch design ready to be printed, processed and seated.

Some currently available methods of mapping out implant locations digitally fall into two categories:  – – Grammetry (Optisplint, ioConnect, etc)  Photogrammetry (requires special equipment; scanner, such as iCam, Micronmapper etc.) Contact me for detailed information!

    Delayed Loading:

Post-surgery (3-6 months out): Record implant locations using one of the above mentioned methods. Take new IO records, send it to Indiedent and we deliver the final restorations!

  • The ultimate clinical result. A few months post-surgery, once healing is complete and the soft tissue has settled, simply capture and send your final intraoral records. IndieDent will manufacture and deliver the definitive, zero-adjustment final restoration.
